This series of Cross-Cultural Management workshops explores best practices, case studies, and strategies to support employers in implementing a comprehensive and inclusive approach to recruiting, onboarding, managing, providing feedback, and promoting the well-being of newcomer employees. They are designed to equip participants with awareness, practical skills, and tools to foster a workplace culture that values diversity, reduces absenteeism, and enhances employee retention.

Workshop: Performance Feedback Essentials
In this workshop, participants will learn strategies for providing feedback to build trust and improve career management and newcomer employees’ integration into the workplace. We’ll explore cultural nuances in feedback styles and equip participants with tools and skills to provide more effective, culturally sensitive, and constructive feedback.

In this workshop, we’ll focus on supporting participants to improve cross-cultural strategies in their day-to-day management to create a space where newcomer employees feel welcomed and valued. We’ll practice tools for valuing diverse viewpoints including the rich perspectives newcomers bring to the workplace. We’ll also analyze techniques to improve communication, collaboration, and decision-making to help participants better manage across cultures and create a more harmonious workplace environment.

Workshop: Effectively Onboarding Newcomer Talent
In this workshop, we’ll focus on best practices for newcomer onboarding, ensuring that you’re well equipped to support newcomers feel welcomed and that they experience a smooth transition in their new roles. Very importantly, we’ll also assess existing onboarding processes and ways to improve these and the integration process for new employees.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify and apply best practices for effectively onboarding newcomer talent.
- Adopt approaches that make newcomers feel welcomed, a sense of belonging and integrate more smoothly into their role.
- Assess and strengthen existing onboarding practices for continuous improvement.

In this workshop, we’ll apply inclusive recruitment processes, especially tailored for attracting and assessing newcomer talent. We’ll focus on ways to uncover biases and create job descriptions, ad campaigns and interviews that are newcomer-friendly. You’ll come away with practical tools, strategies and leads for inclusive recruitment processes.

- Apply bias-free recruitment strategies and tools to effectively attract and assess newcomer talent.
- Craft inclusive job description and ad campaigns.
- Design and apply interview techniques that accommodate the unique experiences of newcomers.

In this workshop, we’ll learn how to champion workplace well-being for newcomer employees. We’ll consider ways to improve well-being for newcomer employees by understanding cultural factors that affect their workplace experience. We’ll look at practical steps to tailor well-being initiatives, to ensure a more supportive and inclusive environment. Lastly, we’ll craft a roadmap that outlines well-being strategies for an inclusive workplace culture that reduces absenteeism, improves retention and tracks overall newcomer well-being.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Learn to integrate cultural factors into well-being practices for newcomers.
- Develop and tailor specific well-being strategies that address the unique needs of newcomers that minimizes absenteeism and improves retention.
- Craft a roadmap with strategies for an inclusive workplace that tracks and supports newcomer well-being.
