Unlocking Potential: Leveraging Employer Leadership for Immigrant’s Economic Inclusion

This year’s summit centers on Canada’s ambitious goal of welcoming 1.5 million immigrants in the next three years. Emphasizing immigrants’ contribution to Canada’s labor force and economic growth, speakers will delve into the important role employers can play in successful immigrant integration.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dr. Rupa Banerjee, Associate Professor of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour at Toronto Metropolitan University, and Canadian Research Chair of Economic Inclusion, Employment and Entrepreneurship of Canada’s Immigrants. Her research examines employment outcomes of newcomers, a topic on which she has published extensively.
